Sitting in Central Park
This is a digitally rework piece I did from the original unfinished painting by Raymond Neher. The painting was found rolled up in a closet in his apartment at the time of his death in 2004. The unfinished painting features a group of people sitting on a bench in Central Park. Neher lived in NYC for a period before moving to San Francisco in 1973. He painted several paintings depicting his life in NYC and included himself in the artworks. He is seated to the left in this painting in a blue suit. Next to him is a young David Hockney-like man eating a hot dog.
